The Trust Fund Committee oversees the United Way Trust Fund, which is separate from the operating funds of the United Way of Broome County. The principal of the Trust Fund remains intact, while the income earned each year is used to supplement the money raised in the annual United Way Campaign. The committee is responsible for guiding the Trust Fund and developing policies and procedures that promote its growth. The Trust Fund Committee determines bonds/equity ratios, income policies, and the pledge commitment to the annual Campaign. It also monitors the performance of participating bank which manage the funds.
